Congratulations to Nicholas Chan !! He was elevated to Grandmasters status not by FIDE but by a reporter from Bernama who clearly didn't check his facts first and it's too late for an April fool's joke. Now I am skeptical about all Bernama's news and whether they are filled with innacurate reporting like this.
NIcholas came close but missed making an IM norm.
