There was a KL Chess Festival Simultaneous Match today. At first i didn't intend to participate as i'm very tired at that time, but took part at last. The venue was held at Pusat Kecemerlangan Sukan Cochrane. Total of 13 players took part (including me). The event finished about 5.00pm. If i'm not mistaken, 3 players beaten CM Collin. One of them is Liew Ken Yew a FIDE rated 1802.

After 11. Kf1 I thought i won the knight but lost after Qxe5 12. Nxf6+!! loose a Queen.

Hi Yat,
I should have stopped after the 1st 1 and a half hours as the heat was getting to me. The air conditioning was not working very well. Drops of sweat from me were seen on chessboards. The organisers tried to make the hall cooler but it did not work (unfortunately). In fact 3 games were lost in the last hour of the simul. I consequently offered draws to even the winning games, just to end the agony!

Is not easy for a Candidate master to challenged so many players especially in a bad condition.
I did not know that Cochrane school conditions was that hot. Thanks for the info. I was about to register for Stonemaster Amatur but after hearing that it is in Cochrane I definitely won't register.
I think you can register as I heard the organisers are repairing some of the air cons. It's a good tournament to play in
